SWEET
LIBERTY a 53’ custom-built sailing catamaran is docked at
Naples City Dock
Our cruise will take you through Naples Bay, past the city docks and
yacht clubs seeing some of the luxury yachts that visit our bay. Our narration
will include some brief history of Naples and some of its early settlers.
It is then on to an area where some of Naples finest homes are located.
While
cruising farther south on Naples Bay to our port side is southwest Florida
in its natural state. This area is the northern end of the ten
thousand islands and the edge of the rookery bay wildlife refuge. The
extensive mangrove system runs throughout and is home to herons, egrets’’ ospreys’ eagles,
anhinges, Ibis, and many other water birds that we will see. Most of
these waters are manatee zones and areas where dolphins are common.
Going
out the Gordon Pass to the gulf of Mexico puts one of Naples’ more
impressive homes (19,500 sq. ft. with a 3700 sq.ft. guest house and 3
hole golf course) on our starboard side. On our port side is the northern
end of Keeywadin Island (with it’s own history).
We are now out
on the Gulf of Mexico setting sail for the beach on Keeywadin Island.
We spend roughly 1 hour on the beach, where guests can shell
swim, (we provide the noodles), or walk on the 6 ½ miles of secluded
beaches.
We also offer two trips weekly with volunteer naturalists from
the Southwest Florida Conservancy. To take you on a beach walk to the
wilder side of
nature.( In season)
Please join us for a nature-orientated sailing trip you will remember
for a long time. |
